She has worked in a variety of positions over the years, but has found her passion in Vision Therapy. Jamie has completed extensive course work in all elements of vision therapy including brain injury and syntonics. She has two adult children and lives in Zeeland with her husband Al.
Mikala/ Reception
As the front desk receptionist at our medical office, Mikala is the first friendly face patients see when they walk through the door. With a warm smile and a positive attitude, she helps create a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who visits. Mikala has been in her role for over two years and brings strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people. She helps the front office run smoothly with her organization skills and attention to detail. She can help you through the paperwork and answer most of your insurance questions.
Mikala holds a dree in Communications from Central Michigan University, which supports her ability to connect with patients and staff alike. Outside the office, Mikala enjoys spending time with her husband, Max, their young daughter, Cecelia, and their cat, Spring. Whether its's a family outing or a cozy day at home, she values the little moments that bring joy and balance to her life.
Kait/Technician
When a patient comes in for testing or to complete our 12-day Multi-Sensory Therapy Program, chances are they will interact with Kait. An integral part of the Vision and Sensory Center team, Kait brings a unique and candid approach to her patient care skills, having been both a Vision Therapy and a multi-sensory photobiomodulation patient. She is an excellent resource for firsthand experience for how programs function and the benefit one can receive. Kait always does her best to meet patients where they are at, while also helping them bring out the best in themselves.
When she's not at the office, Kait enjoys hiking, photography, random road trips, and attending concerts. She will frequently encourage everyone to find their inner goblin and embrace it. She is so genuine that it's inspiring and delightfully contagious.
Roberta | Patient Care Coordinator/ Technician
Roberta joined our team in June of 2021. She comes to us from a unique perspective with first having family as patients in our programs. For families who have questions about the multi-sensory therapy process, she is able to answer from their perspective as well as a technician, Her background in Human Relations Psychology, several years as an integrated caregiver, and two decades of disability advocacy bring a different approach to the therapy team.
When she isn't at the Vision and Sensory Center or mentoring at-risk teens, Roberta enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, dabbling in photography and perfumery, and taking spontaneous road trips.

Kristin | Therapist
Kristin works with children in our Vision Therapy Program. Kristin joined the team in February 2020. She has a nursing background and has been in the healthcare field for the last 30 years. Coming from a family of First Responders, she is passionate about helping others. Kristn enjoys connecting with her patients striving to make them feel safe and at ease to share their emotions. She wants them to know they can talk, cry, or vent and she will do her best to meet them where their need is. Kristin spends her time off in her garden with her two rambunctious dogs (it's really more about keeping the puppy from eating them). She has 4 grown children, two son-in-laws and a brand new grand baby that she and her husband dote on.
