It may or may not be obvious that attention and vision are inextricably linked. But much scientific study would confirm this. Michael Jenkins and Laurence Harris have edited one such book (the contents beyond the scope of the understanding of most of us!) but which serves to underscore the premise that WHAT WE SEE and HOW OUR ATTENTION IS FOCUSED are keys to being able to perform everyday tasks, let alone be successful in school, on the athletic field, or in the workplace.
Over the next few entries we hope to decode some of the scientific-speak surrounding the correlation between what we see and how we interact with what we see, to make the science more accessible.
We hope your summer was filled with lazy days, time at the beach, and fun family times (whether your idea of family fun is mini-golf or hiking in he woods.) Our summer has been filled with visits to family, gardening, and generally goofing off.
But now school has started, and as much as we look forward to the “lazy, hazy, crazy days” of summer, we’re always glad to get back to a little routine!
So join us as we take a look at this important topic. You won’t be disappointed!
